Description/Job Summary
The Packaging Supervisor position is responsible for assisting in managing all aspects the packaging operations including packaging equipment maintenance and cleaning. The position will also be responsible for enforcing safety, sanitation, and GMP rules and regulations. The Packaging Supervisor directly supervises hourly employees in a unionized work environment.
Responsibilities/Duties
Supervising hourly personnel in the Packaging Department on rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends
Assisting in maintaining standard production rates while maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory and quality standards
Leading assigned teams in the continuous improvement process
Monitoring production line performance and identify areas for improvement
Monitoring work order production to prevent production over-run and under-run
Identify repeating downtime causes and report such to the appropriate Production Supervisor and/or Technician
Monitoring production line performance and identify areas for improvement
Create maintenance work orders as requested
Prepare reports upon request
Required Skills
Understanding of mechanical packaging equipment
Quantifiable leadership skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
Required Experience
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing enviroment as a production supervisor or equivalent military experience
Preferred Experience
Experience supervising employees in a unionized environment
Required Education
Associate's Degree or equivalent from an accredited technical school, college, or university
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management
Required Qualifications
Ability to work a rotating shifts, overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as requiredEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
